Deadline to Apply Is May 1

Corning, OH – As the days get warmer and longer, the end of another school year comes closer as a long-awaited day – graduation – draws near. SPCAEF is also pleased to announce the opening of its annual grant application for organizations and schools serving Southern Perry County as well. Additional information and this year’s scholarship and grant applications can be found on the Fund’s webpage, www.AppalachianOhio.org/SouthernPerry. Applications are due Sunday, May 1, 2016.

“We know how important education is to ensure that young people in Southern Perry County achieve their goals and dreams,” said Lynann Bolyard, a committee member with the Southern Perry County Academic Endowment Fund. “These scholarships and the donors who made them possible play an essential role in the pursuit of post-secondary education for our students and we are happy to help the next generation of leaders in our communities.”

The SPCAEF’s Family of Funds is composed of 20 donor-established funds which offer a variety of scholarships to support students in different areas of study and pursuing varied interests. Students can identify one or multiple scholarships suited to their educational plans.

Community grants are also available through the month of April. These grants can be used to fund educational programs throughout Southern Perry County, which create a positive impact on the community.
