Jewett United Methodist Church Opens Endowment Fund with the Harrison County Community Foundation

Fund Will Support the Church for Generations to Come

Jewett, OH – The Jewett United Methodist Church is full of dedicated congregants committed to working toward a strong future for its church community. In order to ensure that the Jewett United Methodist Church is able to serve its community for generations to come, the church recently established an organizational endowment fund within the Harrison County Community Foundation’s Family of Funds housed at the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO).

The Jewett United Methodist Church Endowment Fund will provide essential financial resources for the church and its congregation.  Establishing an endowment fund is an important step to ensure financial stability and allows church members to direct their gifts to a place where it will be able to support the Church and the community it serves in a lasting way. The Fund will support the mission and programming of the Jewett United Methodist Church as it grows now and in the future.

“We are excited about the opportunity opening an endowment fund with FAO presents for our church and its members moving forward,” said Jon Patton, a member of the Jewett United Methodist Church and a Fund committee member. “The endowment fund allows us to support our church and its members for years to come. We look forward to the ways this can help all of us invest in the future of our church.”

The Harrison County Community Foundation (HCCF) at FAO was created by anonymous donors interested in having a local source for giving back in Harrison County. The Jewett United Methodist Church Endowment Fund joins HCCF’s Family of Funds as a component fund that supports Harrison County communities and their residents. HCCF is guided by a local advisory committee and is managed and supported by FAO.

“We are excited to welcome the Jewett United Methodist Church Endowment Fund to the Harrison County Community Foundation’s Family of Funds,” said Matt Puskarich, a Fund committee member with HCCF. “We hope this fund will be an example to organizations and others throughout the Harrison County community, demonstrating the benefits opening a fund have on your organization and community with HCCF.”
