Gov. Ted Strickland
"When you grow up in small town southern Ohio, you see what people are capable of every single day. While there’s never been any shortage of ability in the place I call home, we have to make sure there’s no shortage of opportunity."
Wayne F. White
"Through most of high school, I never had any idea that college could be for me. There are lots of Wayne Whites out there … students who have ability but are intimidated and need a little additional support to be successful."
Tata Sons Limited

Partnering with the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio to improve quality of life in the communities they serve, Tata Sons Limited and the Tata group of companies in North America are tackling the ICAN! Corporate Partnership's shared vision that every child in Appalachian Ohio have access to the educational opportunities needed for success. Committed for three years to supporting the students of the region as they explore their academic interests and pursue education, Tata is providing eight COSI on Wheels visits to over 3,700 students in Clermont and Washington Counties throughout the 2009 - 2010 school year.

An extension of the Center of Science and Industry (COSI) in Columbus, COSI on Wheels is an interactive traveling science program that brings the excitement of COSI's science experiments directly into the school. COSI on Wheels allows students the opportunity to experience science beyond a blackboard and textbook in a day-long experience designed to reveal the practical uses of science in a fun and dynamic setting.
