In partnership with the Walmart Foundation, FAO was pleased to offer the Walmart Strive for Excellence Mini-Grants Initiative, providing investments from $500 - $2,500 to encourage and support the efforts of teachers across the region.

FAO’s grants committee has reviewed all applications and 60 projects were recommended and approved for funding by FAO’s Board of Trustees. The projects and activities will result in students' increased interest and pursuit of post-secondary education and exploration of career opportunities.

The Foundation is currently in the process of notifying grant recipients and will provide a detailed list of grantees and corresponding projects once all recipients have been contacted; please check back to the website or call 740.753.1111 with any questions.

Additionally, the Foundation's Walmart Strive for Excellence Mini-Grants represented a tremendous technological stride for the Foundation – through Walmart's investment, all grants were submitted electronically through an online grant application process. The electronic submission greatly streamlined the application process and made applying easier and faster for all, especially busy teachers and guidance counselors.
