The Foundation for Appalachian Ohio can serve as a resource and partner to you and your clients. We exist to support charitable giving across the thirty-two counties of Appalachian Ohio. Organized as a 501(c)(3) regional community foundation, our primary function is to work with donors to help them achieve their charitable dreams and objectives.

Together, we can ensure your client receives tax advantages, while making a charitable impact for the causes closest to their hears.

Advantages of a Community Foundation
At the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio, we have over a decade of experience in collaborating with attorneys, accountants and financial planners. With the help of our staff, you can be assured that your clients will fulfill their charitable wishes, meet their financial planning goals, and enjoy the maximum tax advantages.
Here’s how we can help:

We work as your partner. You stay in control of your client relationships. We’re here to help you provide a full range of services for them.

We offer maximum federal and state tax benefits as a public charity. We can tailor giving plans to meet each of your client’s particular needs.

We have a long standing and vast knowledge of the Appalachian Ohio nonprofit community. We can help your clients be effective in their giving to what’s closest to their hearts.

We can help your clients explore a variety of giving options. Cash, appreciated stock, and real estate can be gifted during a client’s lifetime or as part of an estate.

We have an outstanding reputation for integrity and service. We are skilled in meeting multiple objectives and solving complex gift plans. We offer confidentiality and anonymity for your clients.

Established in 1998 and accredited by U.S. National Standards for Community Foundations, FAO has a strong track record, including service to over 150 component funds created by donors to advance their charitable dreams. These funds total more than $22 million and have been a significant part of FAO’s success in investing more than $6.4 million in grants and scholarships across the region.
